My name is Cory, and I’m a minister who works with youth and college students at a church in Springfield, MO.  The purpose of this blog is to share about the things taking place in our church’s ministry with students while engaging issues relevant to student ministry.

Why “Reaching New Heights”?  My church has a pretty cool college ministry area called “The Heights” (with the cool neon sign displayed in my header), so it seemed like a natural tie-in to a blog about my  thoughts and experiences related to student ministry.  One thing I’ve come to appreciate about the blogosphere is that it’s a great tool for learning and personal development as I interact with those that are working with students day in and day out.  So I’m here not only to write but also to learn and, in doing so, to reach new heights in my personal and professional development.
